Leadership Coach and Team Coach at Brilliant Leaders

Having experienced the power of quality development opportunities, I am passionate about sharing these with others seeking to fulfil their potential.

My primary area of expertise lies in enhancing emotional intelligence. This work involves guiding people to deepen their self-awareness, become more aware of the impact of their own behaviour, as well as gain insight into the motivations of others.

I am skilled at supporting individual leaders and teams to align their actions with their values and vision and help people to build the confidence necessary to initiate change and ‘walk the talk’.

I have built up a depth of experience in leadership and people development including being the Founding Director of The Junction - Young People, Health & Wellbeing, an award-winning youth charity, which provides counselling and wellbeing services to young people, which I co-founded and led for 16 years.

More recently I was the Co-Chair of the Social Action Inquiry Scotland, which worked directly with communities to examine what helps and hinders social action in Scotland.

At Brilliant Leaders, I bring an extensive toolbox to my work with teams and individual leaders. I am an experienced coach - having built up over 1300 hours of coaching experience since qualifying in 2012 - alongside being a qualified trauma therapist. I am also a coach supervisor, highly experienced facilitator and designer of learning programmes.

I am trained in Systems Coaching and enjoy working with teams, whole organisations and partnerships across different sectors. I have worked with charities, housing associations, social enterprises and a range of funders. I have experience of working in the statutory sector across health, housing, education, community, social care and justice as well as with family businesses and the creative industries.

About my approach

People describe me as being someone of deep integrity, who is values-led and has strength in building connection and understanding between people.

Quality relationships are at the heart of everything I do and I take care in my work to build trust with people over time through consistent support.

I believe in inclusive leadership that leaves no-one behind and have developed my coaching and facilitation practice to be as accessible as possible.

I have the ability to talk truth to power and enjoy the complexity of working with teams, whole organisations and wider systems. I take a courageous approach built on my belief in social justice and a desire for greater equity in the world.

I am a creative thinker, who has founded an organisation, so particularly enjoy working alongside those developing new models and ways of making change happen.
